Sinfonietta is a dynamic work for string orchestra, premiered on October 25, 2008, at the 12th annual Art Under the Bridge Festival in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Cast in two movements, the piece explores contrasting energies that I imagined at the time as feminine and masculine: fluidity and force, lyricism and aggression, sensuality and propulsion.

Rather than treating these qualities as fixed opposites, I was interested in how they interact, overlap, resist, and transform one another. The result is a compact but vivid musical journey that moves between intensity, tenderness, volatility, and drive.
