Program Note
Elegy: Summer Shadows reflects on the quiet passage of time. Inspired by the fading light of a summer sunset, the piece lingers in the moment when shadows lengthen and the world begins to still.
Rather than depict a scene literally, the music draws from that atmosphere: warmth giving way to darkness, motion giving way to suspension, change inseparable from beauty.
